Carrington Schaeffer graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2007 with her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, all the while studying vocal music, winning several N.A.T.S. competitions in Musical Theatre. While at CMU, she also performed in The Wizard of Oz, Godspell, and Westside Story and starred as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. In the community, she’s performed in both the The Cabaret and Empire Theatre’s productions of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown as Sally Brown. In the Tonettes, she arranges music, co-choreographs, and designs all marketing materials.
She currently volunteers at the Colorado Marriage & Relationship Center, a mission of DTV Church.
A member of both Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, she spends most of her time at her laptop, dreaming up stories for kids and young adults.
She and her husband, Seth (Hoptocopter Films) travel and write about their findings at ShortandHat.com. Currently, she is getting ready for Baby Boy Schaeffer, due May 2013!
